ahorra, soy una madre

I joined Las Madres today.
I have mixed feelings about it.
I mean, I know, the site looks nerdy, but I think it'll be okay. It was recommended to me by a surly mother of two that said it keeps her sane. She won't be in my particular group, but I'm hoping there will be more surly moms mine. Because if it's all ex-cheerleaders or women old enough to be my mom, I'll be sad.

EK likes her Las Madres group with mixed feelings. She's used to the ex-cheerleader thing from Jr. League, so that's not such a big deal. However, I will make you sad that she was in fact, the baby. She joined the campbell one for 1 (now 2) year olds though, and there seem to be a gazillion LM groups. Hopefully you'll get a better response.

I thoroughly enjoy the low-buy in poker night that the dads have though. They're all fairly clean and have kids, so the night usually ends at 10 and they are light on the swears and almost never denigrate women. Pretty good for a group that only has one professing believer that I know of (me). But, hey, it's the harvest field, right?
