gravy boat, acutalized

Some scoffed at my plan to paint myself a gravy boat-- one I could call my very own.

But ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to introduce you to, the most fabulous of all gravy boats:

Exquisite!

I painted it at one of those paint-a-pot places (we went as a group for a friend's birthday). And I'll be honest, I felt a little over qualified being there, but then I was secretly panicked about screwing up my project.

I'm happy with it.
Now I finally have a proper vessel (and saucer!) for my biscuit gravy, potato gravy and pancake syrup.
A condiment's never had it so good.

I always think those places are corny, but you made something very un-corny and svelt.

When I buy a house, can I pay you to come decorate my life and teach me to be as cool as you? Because I would be down with that.

Also, my sister emailed me this today: "Ummmm I am just writing to say that I frequent baby Tuesday and I think maybe that girl has too much time on her hands. She painted herself a gravy boat.........and she sews stuff all the time for those kids. When? WHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I LOL'd. :D

I love the paint your pot places - they are great for the artistically challenged...that gravy boat looks store bought....I am jealous.
